Pre-sales question, I am considering buying SoftRAID and setting up a RAID 5 set with 4x 8TB drives. The Mac Pro I am using at the moment is however getting a bit on the old side and it might eventually need to be upgraded/replaced - I have another Mac that I have in mind to use instead but I would then need to use Thunderbolt to connect the drives, so was considering one of the Thunderbay enclosures (probably one that fits 4 disks).

If at some point in the future I do decide to transfer a SoftRAID set (and drives) from the internal bays of my Mac Pro to an external enclosure, will there be any issues recognising the SoftRAID set, or will this not work? (I would also need to transfer the SoftRAID licence over to the new computer as the old one wouldn't be used anymore).

Thanks in advance!
