OK, this is a theoretical question.
Say I have two Thunderbay 4-drive enclosures and I want to make a single RAID 10 volume across both enclosures.
Is it better to
1) daisy chain them off a single thunderbolt port on the Mac
2) or put each box on its own thunderbolt port (assuming a current iMac with two)

A current iMac has only one Thunderbay bus, so it does not really matter for performance. As long as you have good Thunderbolt cables (shorter are better for this), then you can do either.
