SoftRAID's driver can only "talk" to disks with SoftRAID partition maps, so your G-Tech will function as is.

I have a Mac Mini running a SanDisk G-RAID 2 array in RAID 1 config off a TB4 port (but using TB3 cable). If I want to attach an older Akitia RAID 1+0 array that is currently running on an much older iMac (using SoftRaid 5), will SoftRaid 7 Pro allow me to do so -

- Without interfering with my current SanDIsk G-RAID 2 drive?

- But allow me to access the Akitia RAID 1+0 by simply using an adapter TB2 (Akitia) to TB3 (Mac Mini) cable?

My plan is to consolidate onto my Mac Mini and have the SanDisk G-RAID 2 as my primary work drive (TB3) and the Akitia 1+0 (TB2) my backup drive. The SanDisk G-RAID 2 array uses hardware RAID.

thanks.
