This was caused by a macOS bug that was fixed in Big Sur.

The issue is it is a fluke that the older version works. Its more that a big in Big Sur fails to update the extensions cache. Its a messy issue, we do not have a permanent workaround yet.

Did your volume mount? If you don't see it, click on the volume tile and expand it, so you can see if there is a disk identifier, like disk6. If you see that, then the volume should be able to mount.

Oh yes it did mount on restart, that’s what I was reporting. Doesn’t the tech support report show that? So do you want me to unload it and see if I can reload it or what?

If you paste this into terminal, does it load the driver?

 

sudo kmutil load -p /Library/Extensions/SoftRAID.kext

  it’s loaded now:
