<p>You are OK, I don't know how you get the inference it is an unsupported configuration.</p>
<p>SoftRAID Cannot "erase" an APFS volume was the discussion. You can delete/create a new volume, or use Disk Utility to erase as APFS.</p>
<p>What I recommend with all flash, however, is "validate" the volume occasionally.</p>]]></content:encoded>

<p>Just to round this out a bit, for those of us running SoftRAID 8 on Sonoma, what is the recommendation for preexisting RAID4 APFS volumes created with SSDs?  Any danger in leaving them as-is for the time being?  This is the first I'm hearing that I'm running an unsupported config.</p>]]></content:encoded>
