Hey all,

I have a disk that's predicted to fail and I wondered if I could pull out the single disk, clone it to another drive, and reinstall it and have the raid volume accept it back as part of the array?

If this is a RAID 0 volume, I assume by the question. So the answer can be yes, if you know how to make an identical clone.

Hey there - Yes, sorry, Raid 0.  I saw another post tackling this question and there was a command line example to duplicate the volume and the user struggled with it.  Would something like carbon copy cloner be appropriate?  or a dock that clones drives?

If you are careful you can use a dock that clones drives. CCC cannot do this.

The terminal dd command can do it if you are careful also. You just need to be careful and preferably clone on a different system. then never allow those disks on the same computer until you wipe the old one!
