Hello!

I really need to get my RAID5 volume online after 5 months.. My emergency plan is to hook it up to an old Catalina macbook pro that also has thunderbolt-2 port - but is there anyway to do this on the commandline? I always used the UI before, but the volume attempts to mount and then fails gracefully without useful message..

It appears the commandline is the same where it seems to attempt the mount, returns "0" status (echo $?), but fails to mount. Can anyone provide guidance on ways to mount, using softraidtool or regular OSX commandds. I have been working with UNIX / Linux for many years, so I am comfortable in terminal environments but have rarely had the need to work on OSX directly, so not sure how to debug this...

I've tried uninstalling, rebooting, reinstalling SoftRaid 5.6.7 to no avail. I'm currently using a demo version. Previously was using the XT version but I'm looking into using SoftRaid with disks other than those in a ThunderBay (and will upgrade if all good). I'm looking into some automatic scheduled backup via attaching and detaching mirrors, hence the need for the command line interface to work.

I'm on High Sierra 10.13.5.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks

I have been using Softraid Lite in RAID 1 and I mistakenly downloaded and opened/ran what I thought was an update Softraid Lite, but was actually the full version of Softraid. I deleted the Softraid and reverted back to using Softraid Lite.

When I now open Lite from the icon in the toolbar it momentarily gives me the error warning with an exclamation mark and says in red:

'degraded . 2 missing secondary disks'

and then shows the normal setup for the Raid 1 setup.

It only started happening after I mistakenly opened and tried to run the full version of Softraid.

What should i do? Or is it not a problem?

Thanks in advance, Michael
