Is 64k stripe size the only working option for RAID5 on Apple Silicon with v7 as well?

Can you "Check for updates"?

USually it is easy to get off the beta cycle. The final beta RC2 is the release version, but yours is not the RC2 release.

It normally only shows the Update Now button along with the available official 13.4 update and an update for our Apple Studio Display. When I cancel the stuck update, then it checks for updates again and returns the same two available updates, neither of which will install. I just tried installing the updates in Safe Boot and that didn't work either. It just sits there for a long time with the blue progress bar at the very beginning.

What will work is start up into recovery mode. Select options. "reinstall MacOS". this will likely fix what ever is wrong and update to MacOS. if you disable the beta program setting, it will install hte latest 13.4

I was holding off on having to reinstall as a last resort but will have to do it I guess. I believe that using the standard reinstall ( https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204904 ) will reinstall Mac OS without removing personal data, correct? Would doing this method be enough to fix the issue? It does say, "When you install macOS from Recovery, you get the current version of the most recently installed macOS, with some exceptions...". This makes me wonder if it will try to reinstall the beta again.

Or do you think I'll need to follow the steps to restore the shipping software which is more involved using Apple Configurator 2 to restore from another working Mac ( https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/restore#macos )?

The standard recovery does not affect your settings, correct.

If you unenroll first, I am guessing 13.4 will be installed. It has to, as there is not yet a 13.5 beta.

Yes, I unenrolled by changing the setting on the Mac in the Software Update section.

I predict a reinstall will put the 13.4 release in place, then.

I predict a reinstall will put the 13.4 release in place, then.

The reinstall did not go as expected. Instead of reinstalling the official 13.4 release, it only offered to reinstall the Ventura beta. I went ahead and did that in hopes that it might get the software updates working again. Once it finished, I found that it had reinstalled the Ventura 13.5 beta (22G5027e) instead of the 13.4 beta it was running before. I again turned off the beta feature under Software Update and saw two updates available, one for Pro Video formats and the other for the Mac Studio display. I was able to complete those updates however it is not showing the official 13.4 update available like it was before. It now only shows that the Mac is up to date (see the screenshots). I'm guessing that the only other option is to wipe the drive and clean install Mac OS 13.4? I'm not sure that we want to stay on the early 13.5 beta due to bugs that may exist.

Let me do some additional research. The good news about late MacOS betas, is 13.5 is essentially 13.4,minimal changes. So you are OK, but I understand the concern. Somehow the disable beta program flag is not working. I will get back to you.

I could not find anyone who knows about this. However, I found this reference which has a few ideas.

I visited the link you provided. The first fix no longer is allowed by Apple. Following the second fix instructions, I found that there were no BetaEnrollmentData.plist and betamigrated.plist files to delete under the Users > Shared folder. Would this mean that the Mac is indeed not enrolled in the beta updates? The setting next to Beta updates is still set to Off like before.

Its like you did un-enroll, but MacOS did not listen.

Lets repeat the process. Run the Beta enabler again. (to enroll in MacOS beta).

restart.

Now go to Sysrtem Settings, Software update, and click details on the left side. un enroll again. restart. Does it work this way?

I did this also but no change. I even went to https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/unenroll and unenrolled that way and even though Ventura 13.4.1 is now out, it does not show as an option on the M1 Mac currently running the 13.5 beta. It looks like I'll need to follow these instructions to reinstall the shipping version of Mac OS Ventura: https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/restore#maco s (the section pertaining to Apple Silicon Macs).

Strange I just did this on a Mac.
Did you try going to Software Update, clicking on the info button for beta updates, pull down the menu to off, that does not work?

Yes, I did those exact steps. I have the beta updates set to off but it won't display the normal 13.4.1 version that is available now.
