I created a 2nd startup volume holding the Ventura public beta 3 following the Apple help shown here:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208891

When viewing the startup volume using the beta Softraid app (6.3b40) on Ventura (13.0), I get a ? in the disks column (see 1st attachment). When viewing on Monterey (12.4) using Softraid app (6.2.1), it views without the ? (see 2nd attachment). Softraid beta running well on Ventura with my other Softraid volumes (when mounted).

Did you give the SoftRAID application "Full Disk Access" in Ventura?

Yes, I believe I did (see attached). I also attached a screenshot of beta Softraid app view with most of my devices mounted. Hope this helps.

I do not see this issue, I see a normal "Apple" icon on the internal startup disk.

I am testing on an ARM Studio and a 2019 Mac Pro. Beta 3 ventura.

After completing the Apple procedure mentioned in my first post, I had 2 startup volumes on my M1 Mac Mini internal storage (1TB). The first startup volume has my current MacOS 12.4 system. The 2nd startup volume has the newly installed public beta MacOS 13.0 system. When using the Softraid app on my 12.4 system, I also show a normal Apple icon for the startup volume. It's only when I'm booted up into the beta 13.0 system that I see the ? for the startup volume using the beta Softraid app. Hope that makes sense.

This is really not a big issue for me as the Softraid system seems to be working well on 13.0. Probably most people do not have 2 startup volumes on the same internal storage. I just thought to mention it and perhaps you could look at this if you had time after helping others.

Thanks!

Understand, I will keep an eye out for this.

I learned the "hard way" to put ventura on a separate Container, rather than another volume in the same container. In the same container, there are upgrade issues. If your Monterey is a beta, it cannot update and its possible that normal updates may be affected. Anyway thanks for the report, we will watch for this.

Not sure what problems you encountered with separate startup volumes, but so far, I’m not having any problems. My 12.4 startup volume is non-beta and the 13.0  volume is beta. Apple software updates for both volumes seems to be working normally. That is, regular Monterey updates only come when booted up for the 12.4 volume and beta Ventura updates come when booted up for the 13.0 volume.

The reason I created the beta Ventura volume was to make sure my older storage devices (Promise) still worked. They’re currently listed as obsolete, but so far, are working properly under the Ventura beta. And my Softraid devices are working well too. Also, I’m able to test out some of my important apps.

Anyway, thanks for keeping an eye on this.

Thanks for the feedback. If the Monterey is beta, it won't update, if it is in the same container.
