Old version still installed
I upgraded to the latest version from 5.7.5 and the earlier version was acknowledged during install of the later version. All seems fine but the old version is still there in Launchpad (along with the new version). Do I just deleted that from the Applications folder manually?
Many apps replace themselves, but SoftRAID contains a kernel extension, so we do not delete the old application, leaving that for the user.
I updated to SoftRAID 5.8.2.
I've been trying to uninstall version 5.8.1 through Utilities - Uninstall ever since. I get a window that says SoftRAID has beeb successfully uninstalled. You must now restart your Mac.
I restart, but 5.8.1 remains installed on my machine. I want it gone if I now have 5.8.2. I've tried uninstalling 5.8.1 three times and it keeps saying it successfully installed but remains. How do I get it removed for good?
If you have run 5.8.2, and updated the driver, that is all you need to do.
If you want to delete 5.8.1, just delete the app. nothing else to do.
