Decluttering and cleaning up my office & desk. I currently have the Flex 8 about 20 inches from the left-most side of a Studio Display monitor, but would prefer to get the Flex 8 off of the side cart and onto the same desk, which would place it closer. (The Studio itself is already closer). What is the actual recommendation in this day and age? The support manual is very vague:
- "Do not place the device near sources of magnetic interference, such as computer displays, televisions or speakers. Magnetic interference can affect the operation and stability of hard drives."
What is near? What is far? Trying to get things setup where it's good for me without damaging disks.

There is no closeness distance, as everything is electrically isolated. (mostly!)
Just put it where you want. As long as the cable is connected tightly, it should behave exactly the same. You do not even need a shorter cable.

@softraid-support Thanks. If I move it onto the desk where I want it, the side of the Flex 8 will be 6 - 8 inches from the side of the Studio Display. As long as I'm understanding this is not a concern, that'll make the workspace nicer.
