Three of the four drives in my OWC TB3 RAID 0 showed errors in SoftRAID immediately after installing the new version (coming from 6.1)  OS 11.6.1. M1 Mac mini

Dear Sir/Madam,

Same problem here. With 4 ssd'd simultaneously displaying many-many i/o errors.

Peculiar thing is the number of errors don't seem to add up: 87 errors total showing on disc-level link to only 32 errors total on the volume-level.

Set-up:
- SoftRaid Pro 6.2, driver 6.2
- 2x OWC Express 4M2: 8 discs
- 1x OWC Thunderbay 4: 4 discs
- M1 Mac / Big Sur 11.6.1

I'm positive this can be resolved in a simple way. Please don't prove me wrong. :)

Kind regards,

Niels van Lith

Just clear the IO counters. That will fix this.

Things like this happen when the disks report a access failure, it can also be from trying to read from an "address" that is non existent.

If you want to be doubly safe, at some point in the future, erase/restore from backup, to make sure the directory to the volume is clean.
