I think I understand the risks of RAID0, but as my impression is that to repair an array RAID5 after replacing a failed diskcan take days, I have always thought it is faster just to download/get overnighted deliver, an online backup of the RAID0 array rather than to wait for the RAID5 to be fixed. But I dont think I have seen estimates. are there available estimates of how long it takes to have a fully functional RAID5 array after replacing a disk? (it can be for another size. mine is 32TB, but to get an idea

Its a fair question. Rebuilds are relatively fast, if you replace a 16TB drive, it should rebuild in 24 hours or less. (at server, or workstation speeds, server is faster)
