High Sierra: update to 5.8.3 volume won't mount

Unwisely upgraded to 5.8.3 SoftRAIDLite XT when invited.
SoftRAID runs but the RAID volume is shown as unmounted, no errors. No errors reported on SSDs either.

I try to mount (Control click on volume > Mount): it says it's 'mounting'. Then gives up after about 30secs and goes back to 'unmounted'.
I've tried re-installing driver on startup disk but get: 'Driver Installation Error'. I've tried both quitting and re-starting computer AND clicking 'continue' but no luck. When I try to mount the volume again, it doesn't mount.

Please, please can I get back to 5.8.2?
And this is urgent: the SSD Raid I run with SoftRaid is where I do most of my work!
Thanks.

The mounting problem is the SoftRAID driver is prevented from loading by OS X security. You need to approve OWC as an "Identified Developer".

We created a PDF with instructions to help you resolve this problem:

Note: If this is a newer, T2 equipped machine, you must also have Secure Boot disabled:

I'm having the same issue. OWC RAID was functioning great until I bought a new OWC and installed software. Now neither drive will mount.

We have instructions.

I have found a simpler way for High Sierra, which has a buggy approval process for driver developers.

Boot into internet recovery mode (command r)
Run terminal
csrutil disable
restart
Reinstall SoftRAID driver on your startup volume
Boot into internet recovery mode (command r)
Run terminal
csrutil enable
