I've noticed that Spotlight will not index my SoftRAID volumes, partitions. I think it's because the volumes are not recognized by Spotlight as being HFS+ formatted. Is that right?

Is there any way to correct this for even a single volume? Even a previously indexed volume will not index when booted from my SoftRAID volume. Moreover, when rebooting on a non-SoftRAID Volume, I must re-index it again.

Any advice??

Macbook Pro 16" Retina XDR, 2024 M4 Pro internal 2TB storage, 36GB RAM, MacOS 15.6.1 Sequoia, running v8.0 SoftRAID software; Local RAID drives/enclosures: 4M2 OWC Enclosure with 6TB NMe, RAID4 Storage; two external OWC T3 enclosures (2.5TB online storage) populated with JBOD 6x500GB, EVO SSD, RAID 4 array disks/partitions; Local Backup: 2TB.

No, a SoftRAID volume is the same as any other volume to OS X. Spotlight should work just like any volume presented to OS X.

Can you replicate this on a clean OS X installation?
