Upon starting up with an external USB3 enclosure, SoftRAID Lite reports a SMART error. See first image attached.
But when I start up SoftRAID, this SMART error is not displayed for the disk (in this case, "disk5." See the second image attached.
I have run verification on the disk and it returns no errors. FWIW, I also have used Disk First Aid, also with no errors.
This is an external, non-RAID disk (Oyen Digital enclosure) that I do not want SoftRAID to take over, as I use it with other computers that do not have it installed.
Thanks for any pointers. I was running SMARTReporter and Disk Sensei, but restarting without those utilities as login items doesn't help. I am also attaching Disk Sensei's "health" report as there are some redlined items there.
This is apparently an off brand SSD. SoftRAID may not be able to determine it is an SSD, perhaps it is not reporting itself as "Solid State" in the standard way.
Disable SMART on this device in the disks menu. that should resolve this.
