Wondering if there any known issues or best practices for certifying hybrid hard drives?

Not to our knowledge.
A certify is a simple, but rigorous method to determine if a disk an read and write reliably. If a hybrid passed a certify, you can count on it like any standard drive.
We do not have any data on "predictive failure" for these, however.
But at least you will know if the disk you received from the factory, is reliable or not.
