Hello everyone,
I just purchased a ThunderBay 4 which comes with Lite XT. I decided I needed RAID 5 so I purchased full XT.
I am new to all this so please bear with me. When I started XT and selected any disk it warns me that the disk is safeguard enabled and I cannot proceed.
What do I need to do to convert the default RAID 0 to RAID 5? The documentation does not provide a procedure at all. How do I initialise all 4 disks and then proceed from there? That option in the menu is not available. Do I Unmount, Erase, Convert? Which?
Any help and step by step procedure will be much appreciated. Thanks.

You need to "start over". there is no way to convert RAID 0 to RAID 5.
So backup.
disable safeguard on your RAID 0 volume
Delete your volume.
Create a new volume and select RAID 5.
that should be it.
