[#5428]

Hi,

Right up front, I am currently using SoftRAID v9.0.3 but the driver is v8.6 (as I have not upgraded my Mac OS yet), so my apologies if this should be in the other forum.

I have two suggestions:

1. I do like the icon change to the 'S' but would love if could have the same colourisation that the old one did. On system start I do like being able to glance up at the Menu bar and see the Blue icon which reassures me everything has booted correctly.

2. Would it be possible to have an ability to configure a setting on the emails on which drives to monitor and send notices about? I am performing work with older non-RAID and non-SoftRAID drives and as expected these drives are not in the best shape so I get random emails from SoftRAID notifying me that there is an IO error etc and I need to replace the drive.

They mainly produce concern because it just lists the volume ("diskX") and not knowing the current disk values in use for my pack, I have to open SoftRAID to validate it. Additionally, when this email is shortened and presented on my watch when away there is an underlying worry that gets triggered until I am home and can check it over.

Neither is critical of major but just my thoughts and requests.

Regards,

Michael

The new SoftRAID menu blob was designed to be more visible for color blind people. It has a triangle in it, when there is an alert, so very visible.
I take note of the email ,that is a bug needing fixing!

@softraid-support - The Triangle will be perfect! I guess given no issues I had yet to see it to realise. Thanks.
