Is it possible to convert raid 4[4+1 parity= 5 discs] to 1+0 [4+4= 8 discs] by adding 3 discs?
If possible, what is the best way to do this?
Thanks KevS

In theory you can converts a 4 drive RAID 4 to a 6 drive RAID 1+0. But there are some bugs in the UI and its likely to fail, its on our list of bugs to fix.
We cannot convert to less than 6, as a RAID 4 is 3 RAID 0 stripe, and to make it a RAID 1+0, you need to add 3 "mirror secondary disks" to it, making it 6 total drives.
Better to backup and recreate to what you want.
