Removal of volume Safeguard preference in the SoftRAID 8.1 application. Why?
the SoftRAID 8.1 read me says:
Removes the volume Safeguard preference in the SoftRAID application. The volume
Safeguard now defaults to the value used the last time a a new volume was created.
But it doesn't say why? What happens and how do you turn on or turn off this feature anymore?
Why something is changed like this, you should tell us why and what we can do if we want to change it.
Please have your documentation explain these things better. Especially changes like this.

This is not a significant change. We have a settings preference to always enable or disable Safeguard when creating a volume. Its on by default.
Now, we remember last used when creating a volume as the default.
You can still change Safeguard any time from the Volumes menu.
Its a very inconsequential change, only made for people like testers or so, who create lots of volumes. We found almost no normal users ever changed the default in settings, so we just removed the option, and let the app remember what the user last did.
Nothing to worry about.
