I have an instance of a RAID 1 volume that I would like to stop. I need to reclaim the secondary drive for something else, but would like to keep all of the content on the primary drive. It wasn’t clear if this was possible, but I might be missing a bit of documentation.

help?

You can "Convert" to non RAID, yes. Easy.

@arckanum

Here are steps:
Select the volume tile
"Split mirror" and split the mirror.
You can zero that disk out now, so you can use it with SoftRAID or DiskUtility, etc.

On the remaining volume, select the tile, convert and "convert to non RAID".

In help, search for Convert, then converting a SoftRAID volume. We do not give a specific example for non RAID, but it will be an option when you convert on a RAID 1 volume.
