RAID 4 Problem

New Member

Our Raid4 which worked flawlessly for a 2 years stopped working.

One of the disks (the last in the array) removed itself from the raid (actually is showing a capacity of 4gb instead of 3tb), then when I tried to replace it to rebuild the raid a second disk started having problems. Now it is counting i/o errors. The RAID drive still mounts, but there is no way to rebuild it.

The disks (5) are allocated in a sata cage and they are directly connected to the sata controller of the mainboard.

Here I attach my tech report.

Thanks for your help in advance.

that disk reporting as 4GB appears to have failed. It was giving read errors for several months.

Backup, replace both drives and create a new volume.
