We have released a public beta for SoftRAID, 8.6, that is compatible with MacOS 26.

the link is here: https://www.softraid.com/sr_beta

This version supports all MacOS versions from MacOS 12.x though MacOS 26, and includes bug fixes for Tahoe.

Currently the driver version for SoftRAID that loads with Tahoe is 8.6

If you encounter any issues, and wish to report them:
1. Save a SoftRAID tech support file!!! attach it to your post.
2.  Brief description of the issue, and how we can reproduce it.
3. Its unlikely we will need any additional information, or screen shots, just wait until you are asked for additional information.

Thanks!

Downloaded and installed fine. Beta only good for 53 more days (in my case from today) and it didn't carry my license/serial number over so I hope that will not be an issue after beta(s).

@sultan1966

The beta does not need a license number.

There will be additional 8.6 betas.

I realize that but will I need to reactivate after beta cycle and next version is released? Not willing to go thru the reactivation hassles I have read about in the forums. Do I need to just revert back to non working so I won't have to worry about reactivation at all? Did the beta install just wipe out that possiblilty and no matter what I do I will need to reactivate? If so, people need to be warned ahead of time.

@sultan1966

The beta does not wipe your license activation, nothing is touched.

Remember in the forums, you are only reading problems, not successes. Its a small portion of users who get activation issues.

@jhoke

If you are running the 8.6 beta, yes there will be updates.
If you are running the original beta, go to the same link and get the current beta.

@jhoke

There will be another update to this beta, within the two weeks remaining. The driver will keep working regardless, FYI.

Will the new beta be found via "check for updates" in the app, or posted here on the forum?
