I verified the 4 disks in my RAID setup and got an error on one of the disks ("This disk hung during a read") even though no errors are reported on the left panel.
What should I make of this?

You can post a support file and I can look for you. But if a disk hangs, and it cannot "write", the SoftRAID's driver cannot write the io error to the disk, so that the app remembers it. That is why the message and the error is posted in the log. (no the app does not store this, what happens when you move the disk to another computer?, or startup volume?)
