Without realizing all the issues going on with 5.8.2, I allowed my system to try to upgrade on my 2016 15" MBPro laptop. Chip is T1, and following installation, I lost all my OWC external drives (I keep SSD as an Apple disk).

I tried to uninstall 5.8.2 and go back to 5.8.1 and seemed to be making progress, but one drive would not be mounted for unknown reasons. 12 TB drive (disk 19) so a major issue.

I have uninstalled again, to see if I can get 5.8.2 working with security settings as described elsewhere. Now all the drives are showing up as APPLE non-raid drives.

majorly frustrated.

Help?

The mounting problem is the SoftRAID driver is prevented from loading by OS X security. You need to approve OWC as an "Identified Developer".

We created a PDF with instructions to help you resolve this problem:

https://www.softraid.com/pages/support/5.8_Volumes_Not_Mounting.pdf

If things are not normal after this, send a SoftRAID Technical support file to support at softraid.com
