Disks not showing in SoftRAID monitor + Time Machine backups failing when launching SoftRAID

Excuse me for maybe basic questions.

I'm on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) (Catalina 10.15.7), SoftRAID 5.8.4

1. No disks are showing in the SoftRAID monitor, only volumes and the volumes showing are only external hard drives (OWC Thunderbay 4, RAID 5, one WD My Book  and one WD Elements). The two latter used for Time Machine backups. No internal volume is showing.

What am I doing wrong? (I have done this and it doesn't help:  https://srforums.wpengine.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/5.8_Volumes_Not_Mounting.pdf)

2. Can I reinstall SoftRAID somehow and are there any risks of data loss? Since only external volumes are showing I can't right click on the boot drive and chose the "Uninstall SoftRAID" option.

3. When I launch SoftRAID the Time Machine backups immediately start failing, which took a while to find out :)! Any solutions to this?

Would appreciate any advice on the issues above.

1. Attach a SoftRAID Tech support file, and I can look. Its weird, as disks should always show up.

2. You cannot lose data by uninstalling the driver. but attach a support file first, so I can look.

3. I think what is happening is when you launch SoftRAID, it is checking SMART status and some disks may take a while to respond. Its possible that is what is causing this display issue. You can test by SoftRAID preferences, Disk tab, uncheck "Check for SMART status". quit and relaunch the app. then launch the app again when Time Machine is running.
