At least part of this problem will be addressed with 10.15.1, when it is released.

Looks like 10.15.1 was released yesterday, hopefully this can be tested again?

It appears that 10.15.1 fixes the SIP issue. We are testing a 5.8.1 to remove the SIP dialog box. When it is properly tested, we will release 5.8.1 to the public.

I had the double issue of SIP and Boot Security needing to be ajdusted.

Just now installed Softraid 5.8.1 and after that disabled SIP and reset the Boot Security. I am on 10.15.1 catalina.

Softraid is back to complaining about having to install new drivers and rebuild boot cache every time I start the softraid app.

I don't think that it is all working yet.

I'll disable SIP and set the Boot Security back to open and see if it works that way.

Thx

Dick

Apple fixed the SIP bug with 10.15.1. If you have updated Catalina, then you no longer need to disable SIP.

However, the problem with Secure boot still exists, we are working on a longer term solution with Apple.

So yes set Secure Boot to "no security". (with 10.15.1)

that should work, let us know if not.
