I'm an existing SoftRaid Pro License. When I open SoftRaid 7.5 and click check updates, I get the new update. It downloads but I get an immediate error:
The disk image couldn't be opened
The disk image is corrupted
I get the same on the pdf:
Adobe Acrobat could not open 'SoftRAID 7.6 Release Notes.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).
I personally checked and the DMG is not damaged. Try downloading directly, softraid.com/sr
that should work.
What is the size of the DMG you are getting? What is the modification date?
@softraid-support The one that downloads automatically when I click the pop-up window telling me there's an update comes in at 825 bytes, which is probably the issue. (The pdf that downloads at the same time is 861 bytes.)
Downloading directly from https://download.owc.com/softraid/mac is a much more robust 31.6mb. The download from the pop-up has worked reliably until this version. Not sure what the issue is, but going to that link got me a usable image.
I need to investigate this, but I believe this is due to the support plan being expired.
I can't speak for the other person but definitely not the case for me. My expiration is Jun 22, 2024.
Are you still getting this issue? We found it was a google scripting update issue and fixed it. Hopefully all the update downloads are working.
I was but now fine. Classic reboot fixes all.
