EDIT: Creating RAID0 on these drives works... I would like RAID5 though.
The main reason this error comes up is the SoftRAID driver was blocked from loading at startup by macOS.
So neither would work until you "Allow" OWC as an identified developer. Did you do that?
Can you attach a SoftRAID tech support file, so i can understand your scenario, however?
That's not quite the case... In the system preferences, in the security section, I have a check mark next to 'Other World Computing -> updated'....
And besides I've made an update from 6.0 - before there was no such problem...
I attach the technical report.
PS. I also used the 'clear I/O counters' option - it didn't help...
The SoftRAID driver is not loading yet.
reinstall SoftRAID driver.
the tab in System Preferences/Security is the general tab. If you do not see "Allow" available, then something else is happening. Let me know. reinstall the driver, then wait before restarting. Does the macOS pop up come up eventually?
Thank you for the information.
I was able to create a RAID5 volume but only after completely uninstalling SoftRAID - not just the drivers....
However after this action another problem appeared.... When starting the computer (MacMini M1) I get the effect like in the linked video... This "pink" flash is followed by a spontaneous reboot of the computer. This happens if ThunderBay 4 is turned on. If I turn it off and then turn on the computer - the system loads correctly...
It's strange for me, because I've been using ThundrBay 4 for 4-5 years and I never had to turn it off... When I turned off the computer ThunderBay 4 just put itself to sleep.... When I turned on the computer the disks from ThunderBay 4 loaded along with the system…
PS. in case the attached video doesn't show up here, here is a link to my dropbox, where I also put it
Now I don't know if there is something wrong with the computer or with ThunderBay 4….

If this is a new volume, no real data on it yet, what if you change it to RAID 4? does that help?
It's no longer empty... I have already ripped the data to this RAID5....
