Background: I already upgraded to SoftRAID 7.5 XT on my Mac mini i5 (Ventura 13.4.1) recently.
I now see my SoftRAID 7 XT (support plan) is due for a renewal at a price of $79.99. But no mention of how long the renewal is active for once I renew it (is it just year-by-year after this?)
I am wondering what having the support plan (or not having it) actually does? If I don't get the support plan upgraded, does my copy of SoftRAID stop working, or does it just mean I can't upgrade past version 7.5 XT? If I choose not to renew the support plan, do I incur a penalty later if I then have to get a new support plan (to upgrade to a newer version at that point)?
The renew page and invoice show clearly that this is a 1 year renewal.
If your plan ends, SoftRAID still functions fine, but you are no longer eligible for upgrades/updates, or technical support.
Yes, there is a higher price for expired support plans as opposed to renewing, I am not sure what the difference is, but it is not extreme.
