I've setup my new card and realized that I don't know of a way to troubleshoot which nvme blade goes bad if it happens. Is there a method to determine which one needs to be replaced?

There is no easy way. What you need to do is write down the serial numbers of each drive. then take the card out and find the drive not in the list, that will be the bad one, if the drive is missing.
If it has errors and is semi responsive ,then you can just identify it by serial number.
