I got an error from Softraid (6.2), saying I shouldn't allow my Mac to sleep, which I never do.  At about that point, I am getting errors from the MacOS (BigSur 11.6.2) saying that MacOs can't repair the disc, and that I can open or copy files, but not backup to the disk.  It's true, I cannot save to the disk, which I use to back up files for audio production.  Softraid says that all of my drives are okay, so I assume there is something I should reinstall or do to make the Raid array writable to the OS again.  Reinstalling Softraid 6.2 or manually installing the driver on Terminal did not fix it.

How do I fix the relationship between the TB4 Mini array and my computer so it works again?

SoftRAID is working fine, the problem is the HFS directory has some damage and macOS could not auto repair it.

When this auto repair fails, one of two things happens:

the volume is marked as not mountable (at all!)
the volume is mounted, but the volume is "read only".

The only application I know that can repair this is Disk Warrior. It does not (yet) run in M1 or Monterey, however, but is great at both repairing and "optimizing" the directory so it is more responsive.

Otherwise, you need to backup/erase/restore. You can try the new TechTool Pro if you have it, but I am not sure it can fix this. No other application I am aware of can do a directory repair.
