Hi There,
I am trying to create a new RAID4 volume, and all of the disks are exactly the same, and look healthy in Softraid (6.0.5). Here is what I get in the log when I try to create the volume:
Jul 02 14:43:38 - SoftRAID Application: Creating the RAID 4 volume named "RAID4-Main" of size 2.73 TB with the following disks: disk5, SoftRAID ID: 08FA721A1A47FC80, Unknown Bus Type bus 0, id 0, lun 0 (Thunderbolt), disk3, SoftRAID ID: 08FA721A1A368C00, Unknown Bus Type bus 0, id 0, lun 0 (Thunderbolt), disk4, SoftRAID ID: 08FA721A1A3C5400, Unknown Bus Type bus 0, id 0, lun 0 (Thunderbolt), disk6, SoftRAID ID: 08FA721A1AC92F00, Unknown Bus Type bus 0, id 0 (Thunderbolt).
These drives were previously in a raid4 setup, but then things got screwy with the Big Sur update and I ended up having to rebuild - this is that attempt. SoftRaid isn't telling me there's a bad device, so I'd like to get more information about what could be the problem.
4 nvme drives in an OWC Express 4m2
Mac OSX 11.4 (Big Sur)
Let me know if any other information is helpful.
Thanks for any info.

I am pretty sure the issue is the SoftRAID driver is not loaded by Big Sur. Did you "Allow" OWC as an identified developer in System Preferences/Security? if not, did you ever get a prompt to go to System Preferences?
Oh, that looks like it was it! Awesome. Now I can begin my restore from backup.
Any word on a SoftRaid Lite for Big Sur?
It is for sale on the SoftRAID store.
I already have a serial for SoftRAID Lite from my purchase of my OWC Express 4m2 - but I can't find out how to download SoftRAID Lite 6.x. Can you please direct me to that?
There is now only one version of the SoftRAID app. the license number activates features. Download SoftRAID and you are OK
