ThunderBay 4 (Thunderbolt 2) - Slot A won't read disks

I finally got my SoftRAID compatibility issues with a 2021 MacBook Pro M1 Max resolved and now - just after updating to Monterey 12.1, one of my two ThunderBay 4 (Thunderbolt 2) units won't read any disk inserted in slot A. Drives in Slot A spin up and sound like they're accessing, but nothing appears in SoftRAID. If I swap disks between Slot A and another slot, the disk appears and has all the SoftRAID volume info, so the drive is not the problem.

Any solution for this, or is it likely that the ThunderBay now has a defective slot?

You did what I would have suggested, connecting the A disk to B and swapping. I think this definitively proves it is a slot issue. How old is your unit?

@softraid-support Bought June 19, 2017, so about 4.5 years old.

@rabarlow

I do not know of any, but contact customer service at macsales. Maybe there is a program. the forum only deals with the SoftRAID end of things.
