Ok. So remove one disk start thunderbay and then when computer start and softraid lunch mout disk ? My raid will work ?
Yes;
remove one disk (just pull it out one inch). Startup.Your computer should start.
Wait at least 5 minutes before pushing the drive back in.
the volume will mount at startup, yes.
@softraid-support Ok I will try. When it is possible to start using my raid normally ?
I understand, but we need to wait for Apple on this. Its apparent this is a bug in the macOS kernel.
Ok this hack with removing disc and put it bac work. Thanks for now
Thanks. It is frustrating to have to wait for a fix (on our end also).
So now after couple of days of using this pull out put in disk i have another panic problem .
panic(cpu 2 caller 0xfffffe001cce9798): "dart-apciec1 (0xfffffe233327c000): DART(DART) error: SID 1 read protect exception on read with DVA 0x80077000 (TTBR 0 SEG 0x40 PTE 0x1d)
(Its simplest if you save the panic log in text edit, make it plain text, then you can attach it.)
Was this after pushing in the second disk? Was it at least 5 minutes later?
Its the same DART chip controller crash.
Sorry about this. You can try after ten minutes, but it may not make a difference. you may need to run on 4 disks for a while. (or transition to RAID 4)
We are regularly reminding our Apple contacts on this issue. Its "we are investigating" each time.
Raid 4 hfs+ or APFS and stripe size 16 or 64 for the best relabiliyty ?
