Based on what I've read so far, I'd like to pull the trigger on Big Sur + Beta 6.
Would the correct order of moving forward be
1) upgrade to Softraid Beta 6, while still on Catalina. Confirm it is all working properly
2) then upgrade Catalina -> Big Sur
Would that be the best way to go? Or, is there a gotcha I'm not seeing making it more likely I should hold off?
(Note: I'm on an intel Mac Mini)
You can do any order, as Big Sur will replace the driver anyway, so it has to be reinstalled and again "Allow" OWC as an identified developer.
Thanks, it's all working well. Oddly, it did not ask me to reinstall after Big Sur install. Note: I installed Beta 6 prior to the Big Sur upgrade, but that was also after a very recent patch for Catalina.
I did have to check a box in system preferences for Full Disk Access
Run this in terminal to be sure:
sudo kextstat -b com.softraid.driver.SoftRAID
This is what I got....
B52 is loading. So all is good.
