Hi everyone,

I had previously been using SoftRaid 6.2 on two different Macs (both on 11.6.2) until last week.  Over my 10GbE network I was able to easily mount any SoftRaid volume over SMB and do work.  After having upgraded to SoftRaid 6.2.1 now none of my SoftRaid volumes are visible when I try to mount over SMB.  The drives work just fine locally.  But if I try to find them on my network it's like they don't exist.  Even if I type in the computer name and volume name manually it tells me it's not there.  Even though it is there and I can access it on it's local system just fine.

This is not just happening on one computer.  It's also happening on my second system that also got upgraded to SoftRaid 6.2.1.  Does anyone know what is going on here?  And is there any way to roll back to 6.2?  I can't seem to find an install file for that version anywhere on the web.

Yes, the problem seems to be cause by a change we made in SoftRAID to mark volumes as "removable", per a suggestion by Apple engineering, to avoid a Time machine kernel panic.

Somehow, this seems to affect some SMB sharing, although I am able to share in my local environment.

Uninstall SoftRAID driver. Run 6.2 and install the driver again. This will work as before.
