I just recieved a thunderbay 4 with drives pre-installed and I believe pre-certified because certifying didn't do anything, just blipped. (I'm not a computer wizard, just a video shooter). I've followed the ancient instruction videos and steps on the site, initialized the drives and only get "Error creating new volume: You cannot create a new SR volume. There are no SR disks available which have at least 10mb of free space on them. please select... etc."
I HAVE initialized them already and I have given the OS permission to use Softraid (softraid asked me to upon install). There doesn't seem to be anything left to do. Please help. I'm on Monterrey 12.2.1 and this is Softraid 6.2.1

thanks

First thing you did was probably initialize them with Disk Utility?
initialize them with SoftRAID, so they have no volumes on them.

Now, did you "Allow" OWC in system preferences/security when you installed the SoftRAID driver?

MacOS requires this now, or the driver cannnot load.

If you did, then you can create your volume now.

If you did not, first, "reinstall softRAID driver", and "Allow" OWC as above.
