Hi, I am in the process of Certifying 2 4TB drives over USB and the estimated time to complete is over 10 days. I am doing this certifying process on my iMac but plan to take an extended trip so I need to take these drives with me before this process will complete.

Can I simply kill the process and move them to my laptop? If I do this will the process start from the beginning again?

Thanks for the assistance

The state is stored in a pref in your system, so the info will not be remembered on another computer. Why not just wait until you get back? Traveling is not the best time to certify disks!

Thanks, I am gone for 6 months, so I re-do the cert when I get to my destination.

Thanks
