Hi, I'm a new Softraid user. Today I have no issues, only questions.
- In both DiskWarrior and Apple's Disk Utility, both Softraid's raid volumes and the disks that make them up, show up.
- Can I use DiskWarrior and/or Disk Utility to evaluate / repair Softraid Volumes at the at the Disk level (eg, repair a single drive that's already part or a raid?
- Can I use DiskWarrior and/or Disk Utility to evaluate / repair Softraid Volumes at the at the Volume level?
- Are there other, similar programs I should have in my raid-oriented toolbox?
Thanks in advance for any time you might have for a reply.
Tom
Disk Warrior is the best tool for rebuilding directories and works great.
Disk Utility repair is not very useful, it can be used on SoftRAID volumes ,but it dos not repair any serious issues. Disk Warrior does.
Stay away from "clean up" utilities, or example browse the Apple discussion forums and you see for example applications like "Clean my Mac" is considered malware over there.
A SoftRAID volume should behave like any other Mac OS volume.
