I have a RAID 0 volume (4 x 4 TB = 16 TB), and I want to validate it (just to be sure).
I right click on the volume on the rhs of the SoftRAID window, and choose Validate, and validation starts. But very shortly, the "current offset" stops incrementing, at a value somewhere between 3 and 4 billion, and the estimated time starts increasing towards infinity (and then is no longer displayed).
I can't tell if it is the counter itself that has stopped, or the entire validation. Validation of this volume should take about 18-24 hours, so I could just let it run and see if it finishes, but I haven't yet.
The SoftRAID log doesn't show any errors.
Thoughts?

If you have the volume optimized for digital video, audio, or Photography, then validation pauses when you are working the computer. If you want validation to happen faster, set optimization to workstation.
You can change optimization at any time.

@softraid-support this fixed my problem immediately, but could you add warning window for it? I just wasted 1.5 days waiting before searching the forum here. (I wasn't using the machine at all, but validation still stopped as described in the OP comment. )
