Short story: After Validating a 3 month old RAID with Softraid, we ran an old version of a ANOTHER diagnostic program that reported that every drive was bad and unrepairable. This now shows up RED in Softraid and all 8 drives are labeled "Data and Parity Disk failed." (Since running the other old diagnostic program). I'm very skeptical that there is actually a problem. We ran the Softraid VALIDATE again for 28 hours and Softraid shows all good. But I can't get the warnings to go away and the Rad warning dot. I'm willing to assume just in this case it's ok. Can I RESET the Softraid warning by re-installing Softraid?

The other diagnostic software was Diskwarrior. Upon running diskwarrior, all 8 of my drives in Softraid now show "data and parity disk - failed". I'm suspicious of what Diskwarrior did in this case. Running a full Softraid Validate for 28 hours on the 8-drive Raid5 array comes up perfect. But the Error flags are still there on each drive "data and parity disk - failed" and the volume says "Degraded Failed".

@jccrtv

DIsk Warrior is fine. What I expect is the directory may have pointed to somewhere in space, causing IO errors.

You can use "recover failed disks" in the volumes menu. that will fix this state. Since you recently validated, I do not see the need to validate again, so when you "recover" you can select not to validate the volume.
