I have been using SoftRAID for less than a week now and I have seen the SoftRAID UI crash a number of times - with the attached error dialog showing.
Sometimes possibly related to using diskutil (but might be coincidence). Other times not even using SoftRAID, although the UI was active (but diskutil not open).
Nothing seemingly related in the SoftRAID logs.
I'm using High Sierra with latest updates (10.13.3 (17D47)) with a USB 4 disc enclosure + one other USB attached disc.
Let me know if you want me to send any logs/reports.

I am guessing that there is a permissions issue. Send us a support file at support, and we can take a look and see.
