I performed an update as it popped up when I started the program. I was not aware that this update was more of an upgrade. Now I am in evaluation mode. How do I change that back?
This was a free update, so what happened is you received an incorrect version.
If you purchased SoftRAID Lite, download SoftRAID Lite and run that.
If you received SoftRAID bundled with an OWC Thunderbay, then download that version.
All you need to do is launch the correct version.
SoftRAID Lite is available for download here:

SoftRAID for Thunderbay is available for download here:

This issue has also been bothering me as well.
The upgrade download link on the upgrade screen on SoftRAID Light downloads SoftRAID, not SoftRAID light, so when you follow the "upgrade" procedure that SoftRAID Light prompts you to, it throws you into the 30 day evaluation period of SoftRAID because you have not purchased SoftRAID, only SoftRAID Light......
This is a bug and needs to be fixed.
To answer your question, you need to download the updated SoftRAID Light package from the website and install, while deleting the SoftRAID software off your computer.
I believe we found the root cause of this with 5.6.4, so this problem should not affect users going forward.
It was a subtle bug involving the timing of locating the DNS server with the upgrade location. that is why it was so hard to track down.
Hopefully after this update release, it will not affect users any longer!
I just tried to upgrade from the SoftRAID for ThunderBay, and after installing the driver and rebooting, the installer is telling me my serial number is invalid.
I've tried downloading 5.6.4 specifically for the ThunderBay, but it's not working.
Would the DNS issue you mentioned cause this issue?
I'm running High Sierra 10.13.3, and I have a 4 drive external ThunderBay.
Is there other information you need from me to solve this?
Thank you!
There seems to be a bug in Easy Setup with some serial numbers.
Just enter your license into SoftRAID itself, not easy setup, to avoid any issues.
I just tried your suggestion, and it worked perfectly! I appreciate the fast reply, and thanks for your help!
