I recently updated my 2022 Mac Studio to 15.3. It appeared to be running my Thunderbay slowly. I downloaded the SoftRaid update and ran it. I keep getting the same error message:
"An internal part of the SoftRaid Monitor has stopped functioning properly. Please quit SoftRaid and relaunch it."
I've restarted my computer. Deleted Softraid and tried both redownloading 8.3 and then even 8.1.1. I keep getting the same error message with both versions. What is my next step?
Something blocked SoftRAID Monitor from launching, or communicating with the SoftRAID app.
Here are my suggestions:
In System Settings/General/login items, is OWC listed?
If it is, then "uncheck" it
Close System Settings, open again, then re-enable it and restart.
Does SoftRAID Launch now?
If it does not, try manually adding the SoftRAID Monitor to startup items.
Open System Settings/General/Login Items
Unlock the pane
Navigate to this folder:
/library/Application Support/SoftRAID
in there is SoftRAID Monitor, drag and drop it into the load at startup items panel.
Restart and see if SoftRAID 8 can launch now.
