I am using the OWC Mercury Elite Pro Quad that says it has 96 TBs of space on it. When i go to look at the specs in my computer however, it says there is only 72 TBs available. Is this a normal amount to be lost? what am i missing here?
Thanks for your help!

When you purchase an enclosure with drives, you are given the total capacity of disks. RAID generally requires 1 disk for parity. (RAID 1+0 is 50% parity)
So your 4 24TB drives = 24*3=72 (and 25% is reserved for parity. with an 8 drive enclosure, 7 drives would be data, one for parity.
