On a Mac mini M1 I'm noticing that oftentimes when I Restart the machine with the drives connected, it goes into Recovery Mode. If I Restart without the SoftRaid drives connected via Thunderbolt, it boots up fine. Then I can reattach the drives it and works fine. What logs can I pull to troubleshoot?

Please attach a SoftRAID technical support file, (Utilities menu), I can take a look.

@milopalmer

Your drives appear failing. I know Adata are not a top brand, but 3 of 4 drives with uncorrectable sectors would have to be unusual. One drive is very much in failure mode.

I would consider backing up the volume, then trying a "certify disk" on all 4. See if they all pass or not. With 200 uncorrectable sectors, its unlikely this is just a transient problem on the one drive.

Its possible you need to replace them all. are they under warranty ?

Ok, thanks for the suggestion. I'll proceed with backup and certification. You think it might be causing boot issues?

@milopalmer

If one or more drives are timing out, yes it is possible.
