  • STEPS ALREADY TAKEN:
    - SoftRAID validation run — confirmed degraded/failed status
    - TechTool Pro 21 rebuild attempted — failed
    - DiskWarrior attempted — not responding
    - Physical drive reseat performed — volume remounted read-only after reseat
    - Full 22.71TB backup completed to NAS via rsync — data confirmed safe

    QUESTIONS:
    1. Can this RAID 5 volume be repaired without reformatting given 3 disks showing I/O errors?
    2. Is the read-only mount a SoftRAID protective measure and can it be used for repair?
    3. Should we replace the failed drives before attempting repair?
    4. Could this be an enclosure/backplane issue rather than drive failure given simultaneous failure of 3 drives and SMART passing on all drives?

    Please advise on the best path forward. Data has been backed up so we can proceed with whatever repair approach you recommend.

Attach a SoftRAID support file, it will help me reply. Its not a good sign when Disk Warrior stalls, however.
Do NOT replace a disk at the moment

I have two Macs both running Tahoe and I cant get Disk Warrior past "starting services"  on either machine and I have doubled checked to make sure both Macs have all 5 of the required files in Full Disk Access

@slevitus
What version of Disk Warrior are you running? I have Tahoe and Disk Warrior is launching. 5.3.2 is my version. 5.3.1 also launches and asks for upgrading.
