I found the "Hardware UUID" and put in my serial number for Softraid and got this screen cap. (I obscured the serial numbers in red).
I am willing to do the clone hard drive thing.Here is all I can offer:
1) we would need a clone of your system. (We could ship a drive to clone it). Then we can investigate. Without having the system, there is no way to figure out what is happening.2) On your clean install, start installing all the utilities you have one by one, until you find the culprit. Again, tedious. But without a "smoking gun" this is a really hard thing to figure out.
This will guarantee we can fix it. I need to create a support case for this. We will reach out through Customer Service emails, and I will arrange to ship you a portable drive you can clone to, etc. I will give instructions, but it is pretty simple...
thanks

Was this issue resolved? I have the same problem and would love to find the solution. Was there a macOS preference or setting that was blocking connection to the activation?
Are you getting an activation error? Or no dialog box at all?

I’m getting an activation error.
Error message:
I’ve tried two different serial numbers (I was issued a new one at no charge in order to test that) both with a wired internet connection and tethered to my iPhone.
@bsvanbeek
One suggestion from OWC tech support was to delete kernel extensions OWC_SAS_Driver.kext and SoftRAID.kext in Library/Extensions and Library/StagedExtensions. I’ve made sure those aren’t present in those folders, but still no luck.
These will have zero impact.
If you disconnect the internet and turn off wifi, do you get the dialog box to use "Manual activation"?
